Learning Commons Survey

by

As many of you know, Northwestern is making plans for a new learning commons.  A learning commons is sometimes described as a “library-plus;” it has the features and services of a library, but other services such as academic support and computing help as well.

Plans for a new learning commons were approved in 2005. Since that time, though, technology has changed considerably, and the board of trustees has approved reviewing and possibly revising the existing plans.  To determine what spaces and services are most needed in Northwestern’s learning commons, we are asking for your input.

To provide feedback, please take our short survey about the learning commons.  Be sure to do so before May 8; the survey will be closed after that.

If you are interested in this project, be sure to visit the Planning for the Learning Commons page on the Ramaker web site; you can see floor plans and read official documents about the project.

If you have any questions, contact Doug Anderson, interim director of Ramaker Library.
